KINROSS GARDEN GROUP

Professor Stephen Phillips will talk about plants for medicinal uses at the next meeting of the group on Thursday, March 12 in Millbridge Hall, Kinross at 2pm. All welcome.

WALKING GROUP

Kinross and Ochil walking group will travel to Sauchie Crags for the next trek on Saturday, March 14. This is an easy walk with spectacula­r scenery including a site of scientific interest, historic features and hardwood forest. CONCERT

Kinross-shire volunteer group and Rural outreach scheme will hold a concert with Gordon Menzies on Saturday, March 14. The event will be held in Milnathort town hall, doors open at 7.30pm to 10.30pm.

LOCH LEVEN COMMUNITY LIBRARY EVENTS

A ‘Jump Into Libraries’ digital family event will be held in Loch Leven community library on Saturday morning, March 14. Find out what the library has to offer including the new Maker-Space.

Digital maker-spaces have the latest in cutting edge digital technology and are free to use for members of Culture Perth and Kinross libraries. Residents can also learn how to access eBooks, eAudios and eNewspaper­s. Residents will be able to find out what to look out for, with advice given on how to avoid fraud and scams. Have a go with virtual reality headsets, science experiment­s, robot Lego challenge and lots more.

QUIZ NIGHT

HISTORICAL SOCIETY

Kinross-shire Historical Society will hold its next meeting on Monday, March 16 in Kinross Parish Church, in Station Road, Kinross at 7.30pm. The speaker Bill Glennie will give a talk on Robert the Bruce, fact, fiction and nonsense. Admission costs £3 per talk for visitors, with the exception of free entrance for under 18s. Members are reminded that this will be the last talk of this season.

David Merrie from the Scottish Wildlife Trust will give a talk on Kyrgyzstan in Luncarty Church Centre next Friday, March 13 at 7.30pm. All welcome.

BOWLING CLUB

Numbers in the lottery this week were 3, 13, 15, 16. There was no winning line. Prize money next week will be £2000.
