Bakers rise to the occasion and lift Scottish award
A Perth baker is celebrating after being named customer choice baker of the year for 2020/21.
Murrays Bakers received over 500 votes from its customers to scoop the prize at the Scottish Baker of the Year awards.
Linda Hill of Murrays Bakers said she was“so so chuffed”to win the prize.
She added:“Coming after such a really great reopening, that has made my day.
“After such a tough few months, it is beyond wonderful to know that so many of our customers rate us their favourite craft baker.
“We are really touched so thanks to everyone who took the time to vote for us and we are looking forward to continuing to serve our community with freshly baked, quality produce for many more years to come.”
Murrays was congratulated by Pete Wishart MP.
He said:“I have been a big fan of Murrays pies for years and I want to congratulate them on their latest accolade.
“Linda and the team have acquired a number of awards for their fantastic products over the years. I definitely think they will have to reinforce the trophy cabinet.
“I have been consistently impressed with support shown by loyal customers since they reopened, and it is evident that the Perthshire public continue to say aye to a Murrays pie.”
