Freebie at castle grounds
Residents living near Blair Castle and Atholl Estates will be able to gain entry on the day the gardens reopen.
To mark the opening of the gates for the first time since March, and as the first opportunity to welcome back the local community, the estate is offering free entry to the gardens to those living in the PH18 postcode on Wednesday, July 15.
The estate will also be collecting donations for the Blair Atholl Resilience Group, which has brought people together to provide essential support over the last few months.
The castle team is kicking off the fundraiser with its own £500 contribution, which will be presented to Anthony Dawson from the charity at 3.30pm while the restaurant will be offering free refreshments to members of the group as a way to say thank you.
All people need for the free admission is to show proof of their address.
Blair Castle and Atholl Estates has been carrying out a phased return since July 3, when the caravan park opened.
As well as the gardens, wider self-catering accommodation across the estate will also be available from Wednesday.
