Star names on bill for 2021 Party at the Park

Special‘thank you’tickets

Music fans can look forward to a mouthwatering line-up at a Perth festival next year.

The inaugural Party at the Park event was due to take place this summer, but the COVID-19 pandemic sadly resulted in a cancellation.

Now organisers have unveiled a star-studded list for the 2021 spectacle, which is penned in for June 26 and 27 at the South Inch.

The Kaiser Chiefs and The Charlatans are among those signed up for the party.

Ash, Lightning Seeds, Toploader and the Fun Lovin’ Criminals will also be star attractions across the two days.

A strong Scottish contingent is also set to grace the stage with GUN, Skerryvore, Tide Lines, Callum Beattie and Be Charlotte all appearing on the main stage.

There is even a planned Twa Tams stage to show off the region’s finest music.

A statement on the Party in the Park’s Facebook page said: “2020 won’t go down in the history books as a great year but we’ve been busy planning to make up for it in a big way in 2021.

“For the first time in many years, Perth will once again play host to some of the biggest names in music with The Kaiser Chiefs, The Charlatans, Embrace, Ash and Fun Lovin’ Criminals among the acts coming to party on the South Inch.”

Organisers said ticket sales are “flying” and that Perth has done them proud already.

They are laying on a special cheaper ticket offer for frontline NHS staff who have helped the country through the coronavirus pandemic.

A spokesperson added: “We wanted to say a special ‘thank you’ to all the frontline NHS staff who have been working to keep us safe through all this.

“So, if you are one of our hard-working nurses, porters, doctors, cleaners etc working for the NHS, then please see the offer we have put on.

“We are sure that all our customers would recognise that our NHS staff deserve a lot more than a round of applause and we are proud of each and every one of you.

“We understand that there have been many workers who need acknowledged for their efforts, including posties, delivery drivers, shop workers and carers.

“And although we can’t make this offer available to everyone, we do appreciate your efforts.”

The offer is available for registered NHS staff and photographic NHS ID will be required on entry.

Tickets are limited to two per person and a limited allocation is available for each day.

See www.nhsstaffbenefits. co.uk for the offer.
