Host of opportunities offered to all pupils at Kilgraston School
After an end to the 2019/20 school year no one will ever forget, staff and pupils at Kilgraston School are delighted to be back.
Set among 50 acres of stunning Perthshire countryside just outside Bridge of Earn, the school has celebrated incredible success over the past few months.
Despite the strange circumstances, 100 per cent of girls achieved grades A to C at Advanced Higher level and 97.1 per cent achieved grade A to C at Higher level.
And for the first time in 10 years, 100 per cent of Kilgraston pupils gained entry to the first university of their choice.
But it is not just on the academic front Kilgraston has thrived this year - it has also proved to be a priceless community for pupils, staff and parents through a turbulent period.
“I think we are just really pleased to be back at school,” said principal Dorothy MacGinty.
“It’s been such a strange time and the girls are all delighted to be back, and so are the staff.”
Kilgraston, which celebrated its 90th anniversary this year with a virtual picnic, is open to girls aged from five to 18, and this year boys will be welcomed into the junior school for ages five to 12.
This year’s exam results also saw the girls perform well in STEM part of the big Morrisonian family.
The Good Schools Guide said: “This is a wee gem of a Scottish school...big enough to turn out some decent team sport and small enough for the head to put a name to every face.”

Despite having a roll of only 250 pupils, the netball team reached the Scottish final while competing against schools with a much bigger pool.
