Library reopens its research and archive services with new hours

The Perth and Kinross Archive is set to welcome researchers back to the AK Bell Library.
From Thursday, October 1 the archive and the Local and Family History Department at the library will reopen to researchers with new hours: Thursdays and Fridays, 10am-1pm and 2pm–4pm.
The service will operate on an appointment-only basis subject to availability.
Appointments will last 50 minutes with the option to book multiple slots, up to a full day.
Staff within the departments will offer assistance to any researchers wishing to plan a visit.
There will be restrictions in place however to ensure that a safe and comfortable service can be provided by those wishing to use the archives.
The AK Bell Library has also introduced new expanded opening hours from yesterday (September 28).
Following customer feedback and to enable greater access to services, the AK Bell Library will now be open Tuesday to Friday from 9.30am-1pm and 2pm-4.30pm, with additional hours on Thursday evening from 5pm-8pm.
The library will be open from 9.30am– 1pm and 2pm–4pm on a Saturday.
The Click and Collect service will also now be available at all times the library is open.
