Andrew leads Crown Estates coastal team
A Perth-based Bidwells property consultant will lead a team charged with managing the Crown Estate Scotland’s coastal portfolio.
Bidwells property consultants has been successful in securing a further term as managing agents for Crown Estate Scotland’s coastal portfolio, which is a huge contract, comprising approximately 9000km of foreshore and virtually all of Scotland’s seabed out to the 12 nautical mile territorial sea limit.
The job involves the management of around 2500 agreements and a customer base of over 1400 tenants. personal use to commercial developments and nationally significant infrastructure projects.
Crown Estate Scotland recently put a number of property management contracts out for a re-tender with a full public procurement exercise, receiving tenders in early September.
They were rigorously evaluated on price and quality, and the outcome of the evaluation and recommendations were approved by their board at the end of November.
Bidwells’coastal management team, comprising 17 specialist property professionals and consultants from across the country, is led by Perth-based Andrew Wood. He is assisted by Darren Hirst, Val Coghlan and Maxine McCourt also from the Perth office.
Their work under the new contract will start on April 1.
