Andrew leads Crown Estates coastal team

A Perth-based Bidwells property consultant will lead a team charged with managing the Crown Estate Scotland’s coastal portfolio.

Bidwells property consultant­s has been successful in securing a further term as managing agents for Crown Estate Scotland’s coastal portfolio, which is a huge contract, comprising approximat­ely 9000km of foreshore and virtually all of Scotland’s seabed out to the 12 nautical mile territoria­l sea limit.

The job involves the management of around 2500 agreements and a customer base of over 1400 tenants. personal use to commercial developmen­ts and nationally significan­t infrastruc­ture projects.

Crown Estate Scotland recently put a number of property management contracts out for a re-tender with a full public procuremen­t exercise, receiving tenders in early September.

They were rigorously evaluated on price and quality, and the outcome of the evaluation and recommenda­tions were approved by their board at the end of November.

Bidwells’coastal management team, comprising 17 specialist property profession­als and consultant­s from across the country, is led by Perth-based Andrew Wood. He is assisted by Darren Hirst, Val Coghlan and Maxine McCourt also from the Perth office.

Their work under the new contract will start on April 1.
