Going to Crieff school will be a real adventure

-

An outdoor activity centre with “adventure holidays”for school and youth groups has been set up in the picturesque grounds of a Perthshire school.

The Scottish Adventure School is located on the edge of the Ardvreck School estate in Crieff.

The facility has the capacity to cater for up to 100 pupils each day, with activities on offer including white water rafting, canyoning, canoeing, kayaking, mountain biking, rock climbing, high ropes courses, bushcraft and navigation.

Those behind the new venture said youngsters would be given the opportunity to“discover new skills, explore the Scottish wilderness and develop their sense of self, just a few things that have been restricted for thousands of children over the past year.”

Head of the Scottish Adventure School Andy Robertson said:“We have all of the ingredients for a fantastic residential adventure centre – a great location, awesome facilities, enthusiastic instructors and many years of experience of bringing children into the outdoors.

“We are raring to go and aim to provide our groups with thrilling experiences that they can share with their friends and look back on in years to come with nothing but happy memories.”

Headmistress of Ardvreck School Ali Kinge added:“We have established the Scottish Adventure School to provide outstanding outdoor adventure experiences for children across the UK.”
