Parents urged to take part in childcare survey
Perth and Kinross Council is seeking the views of parents and carers regarding care and early education provisions in the local area.
The local authority will be looking for the views of those with babies, under-fives and schoolage children and those planning or expecting to have children.
The findings of the survey will be used to inform childcare places and the Childcare Strategy Team’s work to support the development of sustainable childcare services across Perth and Kinross.
A PKC spokesperson said: “We acknowledge that things may be very different for your family needs for childcare currently due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we would ask you respond to the questionnaire as if in non-COVID times.
“Local authorities have a statutory duty to consult every two years on the provision of early learning and childcare, to inform the planning and delivery of services.
“The survey aims to gain insight around the future delivery of early learning and childcare and the anticipated needs around childcare.”
