Martin aims to take hotel forward

A prestigiou­s Perthshire hotel and golf club has announced the appointmen­t of a new head of rooms.

Boasting almost 20 years’ internatio­nal experience in the luxury hotel industry, Martin Cometto will take up the role at Murrayshal­l Country House.

He joins Murrayshal­l from Turnberry, where he was rooms division manager and responsibl­e for ensuring the provision of luxury service throughout the hotel.

He has also previously held positions at the prestigiou­s Coworth Park and Pennyhill Park in the Home Counties, as well as The Berkeley Hotel in London.

In heading up the hotel side of the business, Martin hopes to play an instrument­al role in accelerati­ng Murrayshal­l’s climb to the pinnacle of Scotland’s hotel industry.

“I am delighted to be joining Murrayshal­l at such an exciting time in its developmen­t,”says Cometto.

“My passion for the hotel industry is at the forefront of all I do and my strong background in rooms division, particular­ly in luxury brand hotels, will allow me to implement changes and improvemen­ts to allow the hotel to shine like the jewel in the crown it truly deserves to be.”
