Perth Doo’cot Cricket Club is looking for boys and girls to take part in the All Stars and Dynamos cricket programmes this year.

Spaces have been filling up fast but club secretary Graham Ferguson is hoping to introduce as many as possible to the sport.

All Stars for ages five to eight is set to provide youngsters with eight weeks of non-stop fun. The activity and game based programme is suitable for all skill levels, providing the foundations to begin a lifelong love of physical activity and cricket, while making friends in a safe and enjoyable environment.

The Dynamos programme also includes eight sessions and is for the slightly older age grouping of eight to 11-year-olds.

Each week there will be a focus on a different cricket skill to build confidence and ability, before those involved take part in a 60-ball countdown cricket match.

The programmes cost £40 – payable via online registration – and each child receives some personalised clothing or kit depending on the programme they sign up to.

Perth Doo’cot aim to run their eight weekly sessions for both programmes on a Monday night. The plan is to start on May 17, although that date may be pushed back a week or two.

The sessions will start at 6.30pm and run for 60-75 minutes at Doo’cot Park.

Registration is via https://ecb. clubspark.uk/allstars/

Alternatively, parents can email the club at perthdoocot@gmail.com or call club secretary Graham Ferguson on 07432614442.
