Enterprising Lynn is just the job for Growbiz session
GrowBiz will welcome Lynn Mann from Supernature Oils on Wednesday, May 19, between 1pm and 2.30pm for a lunchtime networking session.
The online Women’s Enterprise Network meetings are an informal and supportive place for women starting, running or growing a business in rural Scotland.
This month’s guest speaker has had a somewhat unusual enterprise journey — after 22 jobs, from aerobics instructor to psychotherapist, she finally found a way to draw on all these career experiences, as well as‘real life’, and channel them into running her own farm diversification business.
Lynn and her husband, Chris, produce cold pressed rapeseed oil and infused oils on their tenanted family farm. They now have the broadest range of infused oils in the UK, have won 10 national awards, and include
Harrods and Selfridges amongst their stockists.
Lynn is also a Women’s Enterprise Scotland ambassador, and was previously on the Scottish Government’s National Council of Rural Advisers, and the board of Interface. She has recently fulfilled her lifelong ambition of becoming an author, publishing two books:‘BEING: Awake, aware, and experiencing life as your authentic self ’, and‘Being 21: Towards greater self-understanding in 21 questions’.
GrowBiz CEO Jackie Brierton said, “Lynn is a great role model for enterprising women in rural areas, and her experiences will be of great value to all who attend this event. We are looking forward to hearing more about her inspirational journey.”
