Dead by Daylight Various

If you’ve never played Dead By Daylight, now might be the time to jump into the exceedingly popular survivor horror game.

Unlike most games in the genre, which usually rely on a terrifying single-player story, Dead By Daylight is a different beast altogether.

It’s an asymmetrical multiplayer game where one player takes on the role of a brutal killer and the other four play as survivors.

As a killer, your goal is simple: Sacrifice as many survivors as possible. As a survivor, your goal is to escape and avoid being killed.

The games have already garnered a huge following — according to Behaviour Interactive, it’s been downloaded 36million times worldwide – but the game’s next big update is set to take things up a notch, by collaborating with Resident Evil.

On June 15, the game is adding its latest chapter, along with Resident Evil’s very own Nemesis as the new killer, as well as Leon S Kennedy and Jill Valentine as the two new survivors.

To really round out the new chapter, a map is being added based on the quintessential Resident Evil experience of the Raccoon City Police Station.

If you just can’t wait until June 15 then don’t worry; there’s plenty to enjoy until then, with well over 20 chapters of content including 36 maps, 27 survivors and 24 killers all unique in their own way.

Dead By Daylight is available to play on PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
