-

St Leonards is a forwardthinking, co-educational, boarding and day school which offers an outstanding education for pupils aged five to 18.

The school follows the globallyrecognised International Baccalaureate curriculum, praised by students, parents, and admissions officers for its focus on deepening learning, offering wider subject options, and enriching minds.

St Leonards was the first school in Scotland to be accredited as an allthrough IB school, and is one of two schools in the UK to actively offer all four programmes.

Timetables are designed to establish a healthy balance of co-curricular activities, community service, outdoor learning, and academic studies.

With over 50 activities offered, there is something for everyone - be that apiculture, a cappella, creative writing, coding, dance, debating, hockey, rugby or yoga. The leading five-tier Golf Programme, run in partnership with the St Andrews Links Trust, continues to go from strength to strength.

Full, flexi, and weekly boarding is available from age 10. The boarding houses have undergone an extensive £5 million programme of redevelopment to create stylish, spacious communal areas with state-of-the-art kitchens.

Bedrooms are fitted with built-in beds and study spaces with modern storage and lighting. Many have stunning sea views beyond the school playing fields.

At the start of the 2021-22 academic year, St Leonards welcomed new head Simon Brian. He is excited to build on the school’s thriving co-curricular programme, academic ambition, pioneering heritage, international outlook, and welcoming community, ensuring that St Leonards continues to equip pupils with the skills and interests to succeed in today’s ever-changing world.
