We couldn’t be happier living here

-

Retired couple Margaret Francis and her husband Charlie only moved to Marlee Loch in November but they are loving every minute of their time in what they believe to be one of the most beautiful places to live in Scotland.

The couple had been living in Wareham, Dorset, on the south-west coast of England but circumstances meant that they wanted to return north of the border.

They plumped for Marlee Loch, an hour’s drive from where Margaret was born and raised in Dunfermline.

“I left more than 50 years ago - but I still have family and friends in the area,”she explains.

Now 73-year-old Margaret, who worked as a community service officer, says they couldn’t be happier. A lot of positive work is being carried out on the park and when it is finished it is going to be an amazing place to live.

“You couldn’t have a more beautiful setting - just minutes from the loch. It is outstanding. The scenery is stunning.”

In recent months Margaret and Charlie (84), a retired prison officer, have spent their time creating a fabulous Scottish-themed garden complete with statues of Highland cows, a red squirrel sitting on a sandstone, Celtic cross, half whiskey barrels and a big statue of the Loch Ness monster. The garden is covered in Scottish pebbles.

The couple, who have a two-bed home which has two balconies, love the community feel of the development.

They agree:“There are lovely people living here and we couldn’t be happier.

“We would recommend Marlee Loch living to anyone and everyone.”
