FOWLIS WESTER

-

Three cheers, we are up and running again!

Fowlis Wester SWI welcomed guests to its afternoon tea on Sunday, August 29. We were so lucky; the weather was great, the hall was dressed inside and out and looking great and our visitors were great. The sun shone on our members as they scurried inside and out to serve tea and replenish the delicious array of goodies on the cake stands.

President Wilma Brown thanked our members for the food and raffle prizes and the ‘afternoon tea goers’ for contributing to our fund raising efforts. The magnificent sum of £1000 was raised for Breast Cancer Care.

CHURCH

again – we have plums for sale in our Newburgh shop and we are busy picking more to keep up with demand… plum crumble - yum yum!

Cat flu is about just now so we have put a hold on cats coming in and out of Whinnybank for the time being. All the cats here are eating and drinking just fine and we hope that will continue – we just need to be cautious, especially before homing any cats. Many thanks go to everyone who is donating cat food as we really do not know what we would do without your donations.

If you can offer a home to a cat or help at fundraising events, in our shops or at the sanctuary, please call Sue on 01337 840414, or see us online at www.catchat. org/whinnybank or www.whinnybank. org.uk
