Board meets to agree range of licences

A number of decisions were made at the recent meeting of Perth and Kinross Licensing Board on September 23.

The licensing board meetings have been closed to the public and press since the start of the pandemic.

Perth and Kinross Council issued a statement to the PA on the decisions made.

A spokespers­on for PKC said: “At the Perth and Kinross Licensing Board meeting on September 23, 2021, the following decisions were made:

“The premises licence applicatio­n for 11 South St John’s Place, Perth was approved subject to mandatory conditions and local conditions concerning dispersal of patrons, litter and waste management and provision of electrical socket covers to protect children aged five and under.

“The premises licence applicatio­n for Westlands of Pitlochry was granted subject to mandatory conditions.

“The provisiona­l premises licence applicatio­n for Unit 75, Cultybragg­an Camp, Comrie was granted subject to mandatory conditions and a local condition regarding off-sales provision.

“Variations to the premises licences for the Co-op’s stores in Rosemount, Blairgowri­e; Alyth; and Dunkeld were granted subject to amendments to the operating plan for each store.

“The variation to the premises licence for Dunkeld Smoked Salmon, Dunkeld was granted subject to various amendments to the operating plan and local conditions regarding noise mitigation, dispersal of patrons, and off-sales provision. The name of the premises was also amended to Redwood Wines and the descriptio­n of the premises was amended to’licensed delicatess­en and cafe situated on the Main Street of Dunkeld’.

“The variation to the premises licence for Howies Bistro, Dunkeld was granted subject to removal of a local condition and amendments to the operating plan.

“The variation to the premises licence for Wasted Degrees Brewing Ltd, Blair Atholl was granted subject to amendments to the operating plan and layout plan.

“The board decided not to hold a hearing for the occasional licence applicatio­ns for Boreland Farm, Fearnan, Aberfeldy and instead to proceed by way of written representa­tions. Both applicatio­ns were granted subject to mandatory conditions.

“The board additional­ly considered and noted the chief constable’s Annual Licensing Report for 2020-2021.”
