Why the fee to access planninginformation?

- Raymond Ladner Glasgow Road Perth Wendy Newbold Comrie

I asked PKC to explain its requirements to give planning consent for a new house on my vacant land as I found the development plan to be vague and unhelpful .

This document can seemingly mean whatever the council chooses.

The response was that no information would be given before a fee of £120 was paid. This would provide a written report but no discussion of its contents would be allowed .

If more details are needed an extra payment is required

This is entirely unjustified. It is surely the duty of an authority to make its requirements fully and freely known to the people it serves.

Parents/guardians do not pay to consult with teachers and it is to the benefit of these that they do so. Nor do I know of another PKC service where the public are charged to learn what they have a right to know.

Thankyoutopersonwho foundwatchinAldi

I would like to express a very sincere thank you to the honest person who found my goldcoloured watch in Crieff’s Aldi on the morning of Wednesday, September 15, and handed it in to a member of staff.

About 30 minutes after leaving the store I realised my watch was missing so was delighted to be reunited with it when I returned to Aldi after having been dealt with efficiently and quickly by three members of staff.

Porridgecanchangelives

It’s World Porridge Day on 10 October – and while for some this might conjure up images of Goldilocks and The Three Bears, or those famous old porridge adverts, there’s also a more important meaning to this day, one that can, quite literally, change lives.
