Beauty salons get their rewards

Perth’s beauty salons have proved to have the magic touch once more after clinching top honours at the third annual Scottish Beauty Industry Awards 2021.

More than 200 beauty profession­als from across the country gathered at the glitz and glamour ceremony at The Marriott Hotel in Glasgow earlier this month.

The awards showcased hair and beauty teams and spas, as well as doctors, dentists, aesthetic clinics and others that deserve their place at the top due to their passion for the beauty industry and dedication to excellence.

Perth- based Jessica Elliot, who owns Jessica Jay Salon in the city, won Beautician of the Year for the third year in a row.

Laura Haig Aesthetics at Jessica Jay Salon scooped the Enhancemen­t Specialist of the Year award.

Celebratin­g the double success for her business, Jessica said: “I am delighted to have won Scottish Beautician of the Year 2021, this is the third year in a row I’ve won this title so I was extremely happy.

“I’m so thankful to my clients for the support and the votes.

“I work hard to give them the best possible experience and treatments while in my salon so it’s great that this is noticed.”

Tranquilit­y Beauty Perth proved to be the best in the industry for nurturing future talent by winning Beauty Training

Academy of the Year.

Owner Emma Donaldson said: “Tranquilit­y Beauty is delighted to have won this amazing title and to be known as the best training academy in Scotland, which is a huge achievemen­t.

“We would like to thank our clients for supporting and valuing our quality of treatment and training.

“We have worked so hard to bring the most advanced and up to date treatments to Perth and have a lot more in store for the future.”

Chris McCrudden at Cherrybank Dental Spa also picked up the Dentist of the Year award in what was a successful night for the region.

“The awards showcased those who promote excellence, set the trends and turn any dream look into reality.

“These specialist­s inspire others when it comes to the big and competitiv­e world of beauty.
