Deadline to nominate is looming
Businesses throughout Perth and Kinross still have time to nominate their company’s shining lights as the deadline for this year’s prestigious Business Star Awards looms.
Perthshire Chamber’s glittering ‘Back for the Future’ Business Star Awards takes place next month and nominations are open until 5pm on Monday, November 1.
This year the categories open for entries are:
• Apprentice of the Year
• Most Promising New Business
• Best COVID Response and Reinvention • Best Use of Social Media
• Outstanding Young Business Person • Excellence in Customer Service Awards • Community Hero (Group) • Community Hero (Individual) Outstanding Achievements for a group and an individual will also be revealed on the night.
After the deadline, entries will be judged in the first round and a shortlist created – those who have made it will be notified - and will be publicised.
Finalists will then be judged in the second round and the winner announced at the glittering event on the evening of Friday,
November 19 at Crieff Hydro Hotel.
Perthshire Chamber chief executive Vicki Unite said: “People approach entering awards in different ways – some are very structured and factual, and others tell a wonderful story.
“Whatever you chosen approach, we love to receive and read all our entries.
“Apart from the business information we request, for verification and legitimacy, we only ask for up to 750 words, why you believe that you, your business, nominated group or individual deserve to win this award. Simple as that.“
Tickets for members are priced at £85+VAT per person or £600+VAT for a table of eight. Non-members are £95+VAT or £700+VAT for a table of eight.
Attendees will be greeted with fizz on arrival followed by a three-course meal with coffee, the awards ceremony, a fundraiser and live music with Groove Culture.
The nominated local business must be based in Perth and Kinross and should meet the category description.
