Wacky Work Pick Me Ups!

Postie Adam delivers moves that made him an Internet hit...

- Adam Prowse, 34, Torquay, Devon

If you ask me, being a postie is the best job in the world. Getting out, meeting folk. I’d been at it seven years when I started delivering mail to Cranbrook in Exeter.

I got paired up with Carl, 21, and we hit it off straightaway.

‘Get the tunes on!’ I’d say each morning in the van.

We always listened to the radio while on our rounds.

And I’d often have a boogie up the customers’ driveways! It made them smile. But it’d always been a solo performance until December 2014, when I danced up to an office block to the sound of Stand By Me by Ben E King.

The employee, a woman called Nichola, was outside throwing shapes along with me! ‘Legend!’ said Carl. Soon, me and Nichola were having a boogie every morning.

‘What are you like?’ laughed my fiancée, Amy, 30.

It was just a silly thing that brightened up my workday.

Then, a few weeks later, a lad called Lee was working with me.

He said my dancing was absolutely hilarious!

‘I’ve got to film you,’ he said.

So, when we pulled up to deliver Nichola’s mail, he filmed me dancing along to Michael Jackson’s Don’t Stop Til You Get Enough. Nichola joined in and it made a funny video. Lee put it up on Facebook. We didn’t expect it to get much attention. But within 24 hours, it received 130,000 likes!

‘I wish this was my postie!’ one person posted online.

My manager saw the funny side, too.

At least I’m keeping my customers happy!

Now I’m even getting recognised.

I still dance with Nichola, but sadly don’t have time for everyone else...

I’d never get all of my deliveries done!

Within 24 hours, the video received 130,000 likes!
