I Won A Mega £1,000!
Alexandra won a holiday and a grand!
relaxing on the sun bed, I soaked up the sun’s rays. ‘Heaven,’ I said, turning to my friend Steve, 69. It was November last year and we were enjoying an all-expenses paid trip to Tenerife.
We’d spent the week staying in a luxurious, 5-star hotel. Allinclusive, it was incredible!
We’d enjoyed cocktails on the beach, fancy meals, refreshing dips in the pool…

But it was all thanks to Pick Me Up! Bingo, really.
See, I’d won the trip after playing a few of my favourite games online.
I joined Pick Me Up! Bingo in 2012.
I knew lots of people who played bingo online and I wanted to give it a try.
Just a bit of fun, I thought, trying out a few of the games. There were so many to choose from but I soon found my favourites. I loved Bejeweled Bingo. My favourites were the slots, though. I enjoyed nattering with other players in the chat rooms, too. I made so many friends, and it was great to get advice about the games. Then, in August last year, I spotted a promotion. All you had to do was play a game and you’d be entered into a draw to win a holiday.
Why not? I thought, depositing a bit of cash to play.
Then, a week later, I got a phone call from Pick Me Up! Bingo…
What a treat
‘You’ve won a holiday to Tenerife!’ a woman on the line told me. ‘A holiday!’ I screamed, thrilled. She explained I’d won the promotion game.
‘You’ll be staying in a luxurious hotel for a week, all expenses paid,’ the woman said. I was over the moon. I knew just who I wanted to take with me, too – my good pal Steve.
‘I’d love to come,’ he beamed, overjoyed. We booked the trip for November. Three days before our flight, I had a few games of bingo.
This time, I played Bejeweled Terms and conditions Bingo – one of my favourites.
It was just a bit of fun. But once the game had played out, my name suddenly appeared on screen. I’d won £1,000! I called my mum. ‘I’ve won a grand,’ I told her, still in shock.
‘Well done, love,’ she laughed, thrilled.
I treated myself to a new dress and saved the rest. When Steve and I jetted off to Tenerife just days later, I couldn’t stop smiling. The holiday was amazing. And winning that £1,000 was the cherry on the cake.
