I Won A Mega £1,250!
Sammi had a surprise win hours after joining…
I’ve always loved playing bingo. I used to go with my friends and we’d have a right laugh. But over the years, with two kids aged 8 and 11, I found I had less time to play.
‘You should join Pick Me Up! Bingo,’ one of my pals suggested.
She’d won £1,000 playing it.
So this May, I decided to join. I checked out the games and talked to people in the chatroom.
Everyone was happy to help.
Try Sapphire, you’ll enjoy it, someone suggested. And they were right. Sapphire – a 90-ball bingo game – was such fun.
I bought a few tickets and had a couple of games. A few hours later, after clearing up at teatime, I had another quick game of bingo.
I liked that the game dabbed off my numbers automatically. Soon, I needed just one more number.
‘Come on 76!’ I called, watching excitedly as a few more numbers were called.
And then… number 76 suddenly flashed up on the screen.
‘I’ve won!’ I shouted, jumping up and down for joy.
Sure enough, a message flashed on my screen.
Congratulations! it said, explaining I’d scooped £1,250.
I could hardly believe it – I was so excited.
Phoning my hubby, I couldn’t wait to tell him my amazing news.
‘I’ve just won £1,250 playing bingo!’ I shouted, excited and thrilled.
He couldn’t stop laughing at my reaction.
‘I only joined this morning, too!’ I told him.
He was really surprised, but so happy for me.
‘Well done, that’s amazing!’ he said to me, delighted.
When he got back home, we celebrated with a bottle of bubbly after we’d got the kids tucked up in bed.
And then we chatted about what to spend the money on.
‘How about a holiday?’ my husband suggested.
We’d been planning to take the kids away somewhere soon.
So, later that week, we booked a lovely family holiday to Majorca.
When we told the kids, they were absolutely delighted.
We even treated them to some new holiday clothes.
‘You should treat yourself, too,’ my husband encouraged.
So I booked a weekend away to Scarborough for myself and a friend.
It was so lovely to be able to relax and unwind.
We enjoyed a lovely meal together and we also did some shopping.
Now I can’t wait for our family holiday to Spain.
I know that the kids are going to really love it.
It’ll be a fun treat for them and will create some amazing family memories in the sun.
And it’s all thanks to my win on Pick Me Up! Bingo.
