Two best friends teamed up to spread a little bit of magic...
When it started two years ago as a small business venture in a back garden in Stockport, Clare Cherry, 32, and Jade Crumplin, 29, had no idea their sparkle empire would have been so successful, and that one day they would be glittering up stars from The Only Way is Essex and The Real Housewives of Cheshire.
In 2015, the duo launched Wish Upon a Sparkle, offering dazzling designs and an amazing range of cosmetic glitter products. ‘I worked in Ibiza for a long time while Jade worked in Australia and we eventually decided to get together and make this happen,’ says Clare. ‘In the beginning, most weekends consisted of a huge amount of driving, attending weddings, corporate events, and even children’s parties. We knew our sparkle looks were really high quality and different to what other people were offering, but we didn’t expect it to take off as much as it has.’ But their sparkly success didn’t end there...
The pair have since launched their own range of sparkles to buy online, using materials that are suitable for application on the face, arms, and even hair. ‘Whether you want to match your glitter to your colour scheme, or fancy yourself a bit of a mermaid or a unicorn, we can give you a completely unique look, and can mix and match the glitter, creating new looks over and over again,’ Clare explains.
This year the pair are set to attend some of the UK’S top festivals to glam up party-goers – including V-festival, Tramlines, and Boardmasters this summer. Their philosophy is that everything in life can be made better with glitter!
