Love autumn

As the leaves start to colour, get your mind, body, home and garden ready for the new season…

Mind, body and soul

While autumn is a beautiful season full of crisp air and colourful leaves, it can leave us feeling a bit low, as it’s also the signal that summer has come to a close. Follow these healthy tips to keep a happy mindset through the new season…

Don’t overbook yourself

Everything seems to start at once come September. Kids have school and sports, you have deadlines to meet, and there’s a new yoga class you’ve signed up for. But you don’t need to do everything at once. Rather add things in week by week – that way, the stress of autumn busyness won’t hit you all at once.

Commit to summer wellness

If you started a new diet or exercise routine during the summer, stick to it. Just because it’s autumn, doesn’t mean you have to give up your healthy habits. Commit to your goals, and, come winter, you’ll feel so much better.

Start boosting your immunity

With the change in weather, getting a cold in autumn is pretty much inevitable. Be prepared early, and get some regular exercise, stick to a solid sleep schedule and keep a balanced diet. Try to get some fresh air every day and keep your vitamin D levels up.

Schedule moments into your days

At some point in the afternoon, take a five-minute break to breathe and clear your mind. Sip on some water and have a good stretch. This simple habit can completely alter your mood and productivity. Relish time spent in nature and enjoy watching the changes of the seasons while keeping yourself and your family happy and healthy.
