The Queen of low buy

Mum-of-two, Lara Joanna Jarvis, 36, has made a name for herself as the Queen of low buy in the Youtube community.

After taking on a no buy challenge in 2019, she saved a whopping £34,000 in order to buy a house with her husband Stuart, before switching to a low buy challenge in 2020. Although the couple had been saving for a number of years prior, the challenge allowed them to finally reach their goal. But Lara admits that before taking on the challenge, she was a shopaholic.

Documenting her journey on Youtube, Lara shows her viewers the highs and lows of this challenge, whilst trying to keep her family happy. It’s clear there were a number of rocky patches, but Lara changed her mindset towards spending and is now a lover of budgeting and thrifting.
