Am I Being selfish?

For 18 months, I’ve been seeing a widower, who’s 12 years older than me. Our friendship blossomed into romance and we’re in love.

But he wants to keep our relationship secret, particularly from his adult children, one of which is still at home. He thinks they’d be upset, although his wife passed away five years ago.

I told him his kids might be pleased he’s found happiness, but he won’t listen to me.

Am I selfish for wanting our relationship out in the open?
