Why is it Called ondine’s Curse?

Ondine was a nymph, a water goddess in a French folk tale. Her husband Palemon had pledged to spend his every waking breath with her. When he committed adultery, she placed a curse on him, which meant he couldn’t breathe if he ever fell asleep.
