Neck ache
This is a common problem that usually gets better after a couple of days or weeks, and is rarely a sign of anything serious.
It can occur as a result of sleeping awkwardly, using a computer for too long or from bad posture.
Measures such as painkillers, hot-water bottles or neck exercises can help, but if the pain or stiffness doesn’t clear up after a few weeks, you should see your GP.
