When my Cavalier King Charles spaniel Lucy had puppies in 2010, I had my hands full.

‘Why not give some away?’ my husband Tony, 60, asked. But I was in love with them all. In between caring for my furry brood I played Pick Me Up! Bingo.

This February, I bought a few tickets for Sapphire and had a few games of Double Bubble.

I went back to my pups before remembering my bingo tickets…

I wonder if I’ve won anything, I thought. And there, on my computer, was a message flashing Winner! Looking at my balance, I’d bagged a whopping £3,333! ‘Tony!’ I cried. ‘I’ve won!’ But he didn’t believe me until a giant cheque arrived in the post a few days later! We splashed out £1,000 to transform our garden. It looked really smashing after its makeover.

And we gave our kids – aged 36, 35 and 25 – and our nine grandkids a bit of cash each, too. Our pampered pooches didn’t go without, either. It’s a truly spoil dog’s life for them. And it’s thanks to Pick Me Up Bingo!
