Pompey frustration

- John Lodge

Sadly Pompey are stagnating under the current manager.

In January last year we had a total of 50 points.

Then something internal happened and Pitman and Evans were ostracised with no future inclusion for the remainder of the season.

The excellent Thompson was then recalled to Millwall with what appeared to be little effort to buy him.

We then fell completely apart for the remainder of the season.

Loans were brought in but proved to be very average.

We then paid a substantial amount of money for a centre forward who has, I’m sad to say, proved less than was expected this season.

Pitman, a recognised goal scorer for us, was again left out in the long grass, much to our loss.

I consider that a new manager is the answer to give the club a boost.

And I suspect that our season ticket sales will fall substantially this coming season with the apathy reflected by the loyal supporters I have recently met.
