-

A POPULAR market will be making a comeback this weekend.

The Waterside Market at Port Solent was suspended at the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, but was due to return on July 12.

From 11am-5pm, visitors weer set to be able to browse and purchase home furnishings, quirky gifts, jewellery and homemade crafts.

Lisa Fowler, Port Solent’s events and marketing manager, said: ‘We’re really excited to be able to bring back the Sunday Waterside Market and given its previous popularity we hope everyone else will be too.

‘It’s a great opportunity to be discovering something a little different from the high street.’

The market will be in a new car park location at Port Solent for the foreseeable future rather than beside the water, and visitors must adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Further markets will be held in coming weeks, on August 9, September 13, October 11 and November 8.
