Housing allocation

-

Thousands of households across the Havant constituency received a large glossy leaflet last week from our local

MP, Alan Mak.

Somehow vital information that would have interested residents was excluded.

This was, that the number of new homes allocated by government for our borough has risen by a massive 91 per cent to 962 a year!

Why does it seem that pedestrians in Portsmouth and Southsea are being increasingly marginalised by the councils aided and abetted by police inaction? Walking is the most environmentally friendly means of getting around and it’s being made increasingly dangerous especially for nan and grandad. What with rogue cyclists and idiots on E-scooters, why there’s even a report in The News on September 28 about the dangerous behaviour of jet skiers putting people in danger at sea too! I’ve even read that the boy racer set are tinkering with their E-scooters and are getting 40mph from them now – that’s just the start. Before we know it, it’ll be 70mph as they get better at tinkering.

Lastly I’ve just read that a new world record for an electric powered wheelchair has been set at 66mph.

God help us.
