Zac’s on fire with another hat-trick

Zak Willett maintained his remarkable start to 2020/21 with his fourth successive Sunday League hat-trick.

The pacy striker struck three times as Southsea United defeated Fratton Trades 8-3 in the London Cup.

That took his tally to 14 goals in only four games - after previous trebles against Saturn Royale and Hill Head plus a five-goal haul against Fratton Trades Reserves in a 16-0 Challenge Cup win.

In addition, Willett has also netted nine goals for Paulsgrove in just five Hampshire Premier League appearance­s, including another two hat-tricks!

Jon Kercher and Jordon Camburn struck twice for Southsea against Trades with Ross Robertson also netting. Neil Petman (2) and Immanuel Hazel replied.

Saturn Royale netted six times in their London Cup tie against Samba at Rugby Cup - and still lost.

A goal-fest was tied 6-6 at the end of 90 minutes with Samba eventually winning 8-6. Mark Chukwuma bagged a consolatio­n treble with Admir Celebic, Julian Atanassov and Almus Stapleton also scoring.

A Ben Oliver double and goals from Louis White and Adam Cannaby saw Cross Keys Athletic beat Friends Fighting Cancer Reserves 4-.

Old Boys Athletic moved to the top of the Portsmouth Sunday League Division 3 after beating Cross Keys Athletic 4-2.

Luke Chalcraft took his seasonal tally to seven with a hat-trick for Old Boys with Connor Jeffery also scoring. Michael Carter and Stuart Mitchell replied.

Ben Kerr netted twice as Wicor Mill defeated Cosham Trades 6-5 in Division 4. Ben Burgess, James King, Simon Woods and James Casey also scored.

Taylor Hanson, Josh Parry, Callum Grigg and Morgan Easen (2) replied as Cosham dropped their first points.

Jamie Ford and Bradley Gill were on target for AFC Lakeside Refit in a 2-1 win over bottom club AC Copnor, Bobby Read replying.

ACFC maintained their 100 per cent start in Division 5 with a 4-1 win against Horndean. Ray Butler fired a hat-trick with Geoff Harris also netting.

All three of the Division 6 games ended 1-0. Shaun Tee was on target for Jubilee against Horndean Hawks while Freehouse B defeated FC Fenix and North End Lions beat Padnell.

AFC Southdowns won a Buster Gordon Cup goalfest with AFC Portcheste­r

Reserves.

It was 5-5 at the end of normal time with Southdowns progressin­g 7-5 thanks to goals from Brandon Elliott (3), John Cass, Brandon Newman, George Root and Michael Viggor.

Division 2 Wheelwrigh­ts Old Boys knocked out top flight North End Cosmos 3-2.

Glyn Cooper (2) and Bradley Hansler were on target with Allan Shaw and Luke Channer replying.
