-

PORTSMOUTH Ladies first team welcomed Hampshire Women's Premier bottom side Fleet & Ewshot and recorded a resounding 11-0 victory.

Eleanor Skinner swept home to put the hosts on their way to a resounding triumph which would take them top of the table on goal difference.

Lois McGuire scrambled home soon after to double the advantage. There was still time for Katie Spooner, Jen Smith and Katie Poulson-Pond to get in on the act before half time as Portsmouth led 5-0 at the break. Poulson Pond would go onto compete her hat-trick after the restart while Smith and Skinner added to firsthalf efforts.

Lauren Stewart and Jenny Turvey Warnes rounded off the scoring as Portsmouth scored six in a stylish secondhalf showing.

Portsmouth 2nds failed to follow up collecting their first Hampshire Division One points of the season as they travelled to Basingstoke 3rds.

It looked as though they'd come away with a scoreless draw to show for their efforts, though.

However, after failing to clear their lines following a penalty corner, Portsmouth paid the price and conceded the only goal minutes from the end.

Portsmouth 3rds squandered a half-time advantage to fall to a 2-1 Hampshire Division Three defeat at Aldershot & Farnham 3rds.

Katie Allard waltzed past the defence and fired home to give the visitors a slender advantage at the break.

Despite the best efforts of superb Portsmouth goalkeeper Hannah Bennett, Aldershot struck twice in the second half to complete a turnaround victory.

Portsmouth 4ths stayed second in Hampshire

Division Six after a third successive victory.

Basingstoke 6ths were the toughest competitors yet, but were beaten 4-1 by the rampant home side.

Zoe Main, Michaela Chandler, Hayley Saunders and Michelle Hughes got the goals to fire Portsmouth to another victory.

Portsmouth 5ths went down in a nine-goal thriller at Fleet & Ewshot 5ths.

Fleet came flying out of the traps and opened up a 4-0 half-time advantage in the 6-3 triumph. Verity McStay hit a hat-trick after the restart to at least give the visitors a positive to take away from the match.
