Yes, we equally all know that lockdowns are a nightmare, businesses go bust, people lose jobs, but it’s a simple choice: lockdown and infections and deaths are reduced, do not lockdown and the virus spreads.

Which is more important? I would hope that the massed ranks of lockdown haters – who cover all aspects of society, many distinguished, educated and successful – could be assembled, photographed and called to account if they get their way and put business before health.
