Have yourself a merry Christmas watching officially favourite film

-

Christmas comedy Elf has been voted the UK’s favourite festive film, securing nearly a quarter of the votes in a poll run by Sky Cinema.

The film is now available to watch on-demand on Sky Cinema or stream with a NOW TV Sky Cinema Pass.

The 2003 comedy film starring Will Ferrell tells the story of Buddy, a human raised amongst elves at the North Pole. When he discovers he is not an elf, he travels to New York to search for his biological father.

To celebrate the film’s arrival, Sky has adapted its Sky Q voice commands to include a host of classic quotes from the film.

Sky Q users can easily quote iconic lines such as “Santa, I know him” and “I am a cotton-headed ninny muggins” into their Sky Q voice remote and the movie will appear on screen for you to play.

The list of Sky Q commands include “You’re an angry elf,” “Elves love to tell stories. I bet you didn’t know that about elves,” “Treat every day like Christmas” and “You don’t smell like Santa.”

Quoting the film shouldn’t be a problem for the 41% of the 2000 Brits surveyed who can cite lines from favourite films – and say Elf is the most quoted (25%).

The UK’s number one Elf fan Courtney Chanel had her home transformed with snow, candy canes and fairy lights after winning a Sky Cinema competition.

Elf joins a host of other festive favourites including Last Christmas, Love Actually, Die Hard, The Polar Express, Frozen 2, It’s a Wonderful Life, The Holiday and many more, all available on Sky Cinema and NOW TV this Christmas.
