It’s clear now, coming in and out of lockdown is not working
Dear Conspiracy Theorists, Dear Keyboard Warriors and Dear Anti-Vaxxers, governments around the world are not making this up. The world’s leading scientists are not making this up, the world’s doctors and nurses are not making this up.
Covid-19 is real, no government would want to ruin its economy just for the opportunity to control our minds and our freedom of movement.
I am sick to the back teeth of whingeing and moaning on social media and across many media outlets about the situation the world finds itself in.
I want to enjoy Facebook and Twitter for what it was meant to be, not as a platform for people to spread fear and hate.
Suck it up, we are in tier four and to be honest, the whole of the country should be in lockdown like in March.
Yes it’s hard on many, but if we get on top of the virus, like many Asian countries have, through superb testing and severe lockdowns, this will only be a blip in our lives in the whole scheme of things.
To those who think this pandemic is man-made, to control us, ask why they think this and then ask them to show you the proof.
If it’s something they’ve seen on YouTube or Facebook, or heard from the bloke eating a substantial meal down the pub, tell them to keep their opinions to themselves.
Maybe the government message needs to be: ‘Protect Yourself and don’t infect others’ as many of the messages we get are confusing.
The prime minister is trying to balance the needs of our economy, mental health and controlling the pandemic.
I think it’s become clear now, coming in and out of lockdown is not working. It’s time to call in the big guns.
With hopefully two different vaccines available by the new year, lock us all down and then call in the army to deploy it.
We need all hands on deck to get this vaccine administered, it’s the only way out of this hell-hole we currently find ourselves in.
In the meantime, moan to your MP; keep it off social media for all our sakes.
