Inspirational care home company’s national plaudits
Stock exchange honour delight for provider
A CARE firm that runs a home in Portsmouth has been named as one of most inspirational companies in Britain.
Care provider Hartford Care Group Limited, which runs Hartford Court in Catherington Place in Milton, was identified as one of London Stock Exchange Group’s ‘ 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’ 2020.
This is the second year in succession that Hartford Care has been included in the report, which recognises the UK’s fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium sized businesses.
Sean Gavin, Hartford Care Group’s chief executive officer said: ‘Our inclusion for the second year running in the London Stock Exchange Group’s 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain Report is an incredible achievement for us all, especially during this very challenging year.
‘To accomplish this again is testament to the extraordinary efforts made by our 16 exceptional care home teams, supported by their Head Office and Regional colleagues, in continuing to deliver care, comfort and companionship for all our residents.
‘We are so proud of our Hartford Care family, and the family values we embrace that differentiate us from other care home companies.
The acquisition this year of two more care homes shows we are continuing to grow steadily and sustainably in this most difficult of years.’
Hartford Care Group is part of a family-owned business with its headquarters in Basingstoke. It was established in 1908 and runs 16 care and nursing homes throughout the south of England.
In the past year, Hartford Care has acquired two more care homes - Belford House in Four Marks, Hampshire, and Ashley Grange in Downton, Wiltshire.
The 60-bed Hartford Court in Milton offers care for older people, including residential and dementia care.
It was built as part of Guardians Gate, a development near St Mary's Hospital in Milton, and opened in 2016.
Michelle Presdee, general manager of Hartford Court, said: ‘Hartford Court has the same values as all of Hartford Care homes – care, comfort and compassion. It is part of a large family where residents come to feel loved and start a new exciting chapter in their lives.’
To be featured in the report, businesses had to demonstrate strong revenue growth over the last three years and also outperform their sector peers.
