Praise for ferry focus

A CAMPAIGN group has praised news that ferry services between the Isle of Wight and Portsmouth will face tougher scrutiny.

Isle of Wight MP Bob Seely and the Isle of Wight council have made a sevenpage joint submission to government to draw attention to the providers of crossSolent transport services.

Mark Jefferies, from the IOW Ferry Group, which has been campaigning for better services and tighter restrictions during the pandemic, said: ‘It is good news that the council and MP have taken note of our persistent campaign. We welcome this news and thank them for listening. We’d also like to thank everyone who has supported our campaign.’
