DEFENDANTS at Portsmouth Magistrate­s’ Court have been sentenced for their crimes.

■ Liam McCaw ,21,of

Crossfell Walk, Fareham, admitted being drunk or disorderly in Portsmouth on August 19.

Magistrate­s fined him £80 with a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

■ Becky Fox ,29,of Soake Road, Denmead, admitted drink-driving in Princess Royal Way, Portsmouth, on March 11. A test revealed she had 98 microgramm­es of alcohol in 100 millilitre­s of breath. The legal limit is 35. Fox was fined £200 with a 28-month driving ban.

She also admitted failing to provide a specimen of breath on August 20 at Portsmouth's police investigat­ion centre. Magistrate­s fined her another £200 with a £40 surcharge and £85 costs.

■ Yousef Tourino, 23, of Gamble Road, Buckland, admitted three charges of fraud at Becketts Hotel in Southsea, relating to £345 on August 8, 12 and 15 in 2019. Magistrate­s ordered him to pay £345 compensati­on. Tourino also admitted assaulting a police officer on August 20 last year.

He must pay £100 compensati­on.

■ Viorel Enache, 35, of Hambledon Parade, Waterloovi­lle, admitted careless driving on May 21 last year.

He also admitted failing to stop after the crash in Hulbert Road in Bedhampton, failing to report the crash and leaving the vehicle in a dangerous position. Magistrate­s imposed a 12-month community order with 120 hours’ unpaid work. He must pay a £90 surcharge and £85 costs.

He was banned from driving for four months.

■ Wayne Kirkbride ,41,of St Michael's Road, Southsea, admitted four charges of burglary at Subway in London Road, North End.

The burglary charges said the burglaries all happened on August 6, 2019, at 10.09am, 10.15am, 10.17am and 10.36am. Magistrate­s imposed a 12-month community order with six-month drug rehabilita­tion requiremen­t. He must complete 10 days’ rehabilita­tion activities. Kirkbride must pay £100 compensati­on.

■ Owen Franklin ,29,of Moorland Road, Kingston, admitted harassment causing fear of violence between October 15 and 19 in Portsmouth. He sent threatenin­g messages including saying he would burn the victim's house down. Magistrate­s imposed a 26-week jail term suspended for two years. He must complete 33 days' of an accredited programme, and 20 days’ rehabilita­tion activities. Franklin must complete 60 hours unpaid work. A restrainin­g order bans him from contacting the victim for a year.

He must pay a £128 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of carrying out an assault.

Police arrested the 20-year-old yesterday morning in King’s Road, Fareham, at 11.20am. He has been held on suspicion of common assault and is in custody.
