Tomorrow will be a good day
What evil virus comes this way,
How did You come to be, Why did You come to be?
Like a parasite on the lives of the world you persist
To extinguish the very host in which you cruelly exist
Like a s niper you heartlessly pick us
Like a parasite on the lives of the w orld you persist To extinguish the very host in which you cruelly exist IAN WATERHOUSE
off
Secreted among us, abhorrent, to survive
Oh evil hitman, you have no contract, no humane reason
To wickedly take yet another, and another, and another .... innocent life Curse You, stalking unseen in mine own very shadow,
Where we walk, where we talk, where we 'live'
To pounce, to plague us with untold sorrow
Bringing our most caring to their knees, Mercilessly felling us ..... Like trees
But now we know your profile, that you are there,
To reverse the swathe, and unfold hope from the pit of our despair
First you took our liberty, injected US with your evil fear
Took our loved ones, our hero, Captain, Sir Tom, and more
Everything we took for granted, Everyone we held so dear
But all is NOT lost, until it IS won and so our fight back has begun
Brilliant scientists have toiled around the clock to meet the challenge
Our dedicated NHS has stood shoulder to shoulder to bear the relentless load Of every single minute, of every busy hour, of every painful day
Each and every one, battling through, to find us a way
And find a way they have, and once sad, sad eyes, now flicker with hope
Tears have slowed, unstinting support of volunteers has arrived
As we fight to turn adversity, and pain, around, for every single person fallen For every single tear of anguish that has shattered on the ground
The tide IS turning, in earnest the unequal battle begins
And as our hearts turn to remember our beacon of hope, our incredible hero In the love of his family he will, with valour once more, confront his final mission
And we will remember him, for ever, armed with his bravery, and his fortitude.. We WILL win
And people the world over with warmth, respect and love in their hearts
Will gratefully let one more tear slip proudly away...
Because Tomorrow will be a good day.
