Mum’s coaching workshops aim to empower women
Recruitment consultant sets up side-hustle
MOTIVATIONAL Sally Spicer is inspiring hundreds of women to reach their career goals with her new coaching business.
The 39-year-old from Southsea launched career coaching business SCOACH in January – and she’s seen scores of people take up her workshops and classes so far.
Sally, a mum-of-three, spent months planning her side-hustle after she saw the same issues arising time and time again though her job as a recruitment consultant.
She said: ‘I have a 20 year career in recruitment and have worked my entire career in Portsmouth.
‘I’ve helped over 5,000 people into new roles and I am passionate about people being in control of their careers.
‘During the pandemic I spent a huge amount of time on the phone to people who had had their careers impacted by the pandemic and wanted to do something to help.
‘So, I set up weekly live broadcasts on LinkedIn to help those looking for work with interview techniques and tools to overcome confidence challenges.
‘I launched SCOACH aimed at helping women and I have a series of programmes available to help people who are looking for a new direction, returning to the workplace or are out of work due to redundancy. I am helping them find their work identity, build on their confidence and help them approach the job market again.’
Sally said she’s helped 150 woman so far, with more people booked classes.
As well as Sally’s free workshops, she has set up podcasts, coaching programmes, CV writing services, social media lessons, interview training and she is offering one to one sessions. For on to future more go to linkedin.com/in/ sallyspicercareercoach or scoach.uk/
