SAMPLE A CUT-PRICE PINT — FROM £1.99!

BOOZERS are selling pints from as little as £1.99 in the area.

Some 11 JD Wetherspoo­n pubs are taking part in the promotiona­l offer selling guest ales from ‘local breweries’.

Pints cost £1.99 to £2.29 and customers can sample a beer before buying it.

Guildhall Walk’s Isambard Kingdom Brunel pub is among those participat­ing all summer.

Manager Tez Merry said: ‘We are proud of our reputation for supporting local breweries and serving their beer in our pub.

‘Our customers will be able to enjoy some great beers at The Isambard Kingdom Brunel, while supporting local brewers too – and all at a fantastic price.”

The pubs will also be serving their regular range of real ales, including Abbot, Ruddles and Doom Bar at their normal price.

Wetherspoo­n will be sourcing beers from more than 350 local breweries across the UK, with individual pubs selecting the local breweries, whose beers they wish to showcase.

The Sir Alec Rose in The Boardwalk, Port Solent.

The First Post in High Street, Cosham.

The Lord Arthur Lee and The

Crown Inn, both in West Street, Fareham.

The Star in High Street, Gosport.

The Parchment Makers in Park Road North, Havant.

The Lord Palmerston in Palmerston Road, Southsea.

The Denmead Queen in London Road, Waterloovi­lle.

The deal started on Monday and coincided with Covid-19 restrictio­ns being lifted across England.
