Message from our sponsor – 10,000 businesses paid sooner thanks to service

-

MORE than 10,000 relieved small business owners have successfully chased overdue payments using the Federation of Small Businesses’ new FSB Debt Recovery service, launched in June 2020.

As a small business owner, you’ll know all too well the issue of late payments and how missed invoices can have a damaging impact on cash flow.

FSB Debt Recovery is part of FSB’s ongoing commitment to support small businesses facing late payments. FSB membership provides free access to the tools, advice, guidance and materials you need to take control of late payments, such as step-by-step guidance, specialist advice, DIY letter templates and an interest calculator.

All letters before action are fully compliant with the relevant pre-action protocol, so you’ll have peace of mind. In the first 12 months alone, over 5,500 template letters were downloaded.

Getting paid is vital. If further action is needed, FSB Debt Recovery offers clear, discounted costs to pursue legal action by instructing Markel Law. This includes sending a solicitors’ letter to the debtor, issuing proceedings for non-payment, and taking enforcement action to recover under a judgment.

Since launching, more than £550,000 has been recovered for members by Markel Law, with debts ranging from just £114.00 to over £125,000.

FSB Debt Recovery is just one of the many valuable benefits of

FSB membership. With 24/7 legal support, financial expertise, vital business services, local support, and networking events, discover why thousands of small businesses and the selfemployed join us every month.
