Maritime firms sign agreement
TWO international maritime firms have signed an agreement to collaborate and help encourage a thriving maritime sector in the Solent.
Developing international business relationships was top of the agenda at the latest MaritimeUK( M UK) So lent network meeting, where it was joined by a group from a significant Scandinavian Maritime Cluster, Turku in Finland.
M UK So lent has been established as a industry-led body to help encourage a thriving maritime sector within the So lent, one of seven UK maritime clusters identified in Maritime 2050.
Speaking about the visit, Michel Lemagnen, CEO and Co-Founder of MCJ Lemagnen Associates Ltd, based in Turk us aid :‘ Speaking as someone who has been working in international trade and investment for more than 30 years, I am delighted to see the enthusiasm with which Maritime UK Solent and Turku Business Region are grasping this opportunity and hope it is the beginning of along and fruitful relationship for both.’
Turku Science Park Ltd is a non-profit business working closely with all economic operatorsregion ally, nationally, and internationally. Nearly a third of maritime industry companiesin Finland are in the T ur ku Business Region.
