Marine priorities Alderney Marine Forum has produced a film called ‘What is your connection to the sea around Alderney?’ following a consultation undertaken earlier this year. It summarises those findings ahead of developing a marine management plan for Alderney. The plan will be used to support the sustainable use of the sea around Alderney for the benefit of the community, with measures to conserve and protect Alderney’s marine environment and marine resources for future generations.

lighthouse light Mariners are advised that the Demie De Pas Lighthouse on Jersey’s south coast in position 49° 09.00’N, 002° 06.15’W has been fitted with a new LED light unit. The light characteristics, sectors and height remain unchanged, but the visible distance has been reduced to eight miles for both red and white sectors. The light description should now read Mo (D) WR 12s 11m 8M.
