Practical Boat Owner

COMMANDER DAVID VAUGHAN IS THE HARBOUR MASTER

-

‘Teignmouth is just 400m from the mainline railway running from St Pancras to Land’s End. You can get to Exeter in just 25 minutes and be involved in city life, or if you’re on a trip and have to visit home, you can leave the boat for a week or so and we’ll keep an eye on it.

‘There are plenty of places to visit nearby. There are the Newton Abbot and Exeter racecourses, and Dartmoor. Coombe Cellars is a really good place to visit upriver, and the Brunel railway runs all the way along the coast. I have to say the Crab Shack, which is on the beach down here, is a really good spot. It’s got good cuisine by the sea, and a great atmosphere.’
