Practical Caravan

Why Flanders was a tour to remember

- Niall niall@practicalcaravan.com

I DON’T REALLY have a bucket list, but I wanted to visit one of the First World War battlefields while the ongoing centenary commemorations are being observed. I couldn’t make it to the Somme last year, so pulled out all the stops to go over to Belgium for the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Passchendaele. It was a moving experience which exceeded my expectations on every level, and I can unreservedly recommend this fascinating and very accessible area for a touring holiday – turn to page 20.

Also in this issue, we offer our verdict on the Bailey Pegasus GT70 special edition, and round up our highlights from last month’s NEC show in Birmingham. Plus, Sammy Faircloth has everything you need to know about caravan servicing, from page 89.

Enjoy the issue.
