Which type of sites do you prefer?

CS/CL every time – we avoid large, commercial sites. It’s a no-brainer. Often, we have a field to ourselves and only £12 with electric or £7 off-grid! Trudie Mann

Usually use my caravan’s facilities, so I’m happy with a CL site or club site. Have 140W solar panel so can live off-grid. Most important for me is feeling safe, especially on my own with the dog. Gail Wood

We mainly use Camping & Caravanning Club Temporary Holiday Sites, or CL/CS sites. With THSS there’s usually no need to book and locations are good. They run from one to eight weeks and are cheap. Chris Rogers

CL or CS sites always. It’s nice to have electric, not essential. Never use washblocks, even if they have them. Brenda Scourfield

We prefer small, adults-only certified sites, with or without showers, toilets or electric hook-up. Can easily survive in the caravan without facilities. Jim Filby

We want a bit of life in the place, but nothing that has a big clubhouse or ‘mascots’ wandering around all day. Caroline Jackson
